The Breakfast first launched in Europe and is getting ready to launch in New York and Los Angeles. We launch new cities whenever a city reaches 1,000 profiles.

The Breakfast was conceptualized in 2018 by us, Eteri and Lisa. We wanted to create a social app that wasn’t about dating or networking, but instead was about people and conversations.

Today, we are a small multinational team of designers, developers, therapists, writers, curators, and generally brilliant people headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal.

We believe everyone deserves the luxury of real life interactions. Making new connections opens us up to new experiences and new worlds — and lets us show up in new ways.

While our ability to connect online is an amazing facet of modern life, it can leave us craving connection beyond the screen. Our mission is to help people get to know each other in real life.

Because dinner sounds like a date, and lunch sounds like a work meeting. Breakfast is usually just that — breakfast.
